Seminar Highlights

This seminar will be graced by the presence of exceptional Grand Masters who have made significant contributions to the world of martial arts. Allow us to introduce you to these esteemed individuals:



1. Grand Master Richard Hodder

Grand Master Hodder is the Executive Director of Taekwondo for the United States Korean Martial Arts Federation and the President of the World Weapons Federation. He holds numerous titles, including 13-time Colorado State Taekwondo Association Black Belt Champion and 2-time U.S. National Champion. Grand Master Hodder's martial arts journey spans decades, and his expertise extends to multiple martial arts disciplines, making him a true legend in the field.



2. Grand Master Jamie Serio

Grand Master Serio began his martial arts journey with Hapkido under Dr. He Young Kimm in the early '70s. He has been a lifelong student of Dr. Kimm's and played a pivotal role in the development of Han Mu Do, a Korean martial art system. Grand Master Serio's dedication to promoting martial arts philosophy has taken him around the world, demonstrating his remarkable skills.



3. Chief Master John Godwin

Chief Master Godwin's martial arts journey began as a means of self-defense during his youth. He studied Tang Soo Do, Moo Duk Kwan, and Hapkido, earning the respect of his peers and mentors. His dedication and focus have led him to become a respected leader in the martial arts community, contributing to its growth and development.



4. Grand Master John Choi

Grand Master John Choi Jong-hyun is a 9th Degree Black Belt and the current president of the United States Taekwondo Grand Master Society. His dedication to Taekwondo has made him a recognized figure in international Taekwondo circles. He is the owner and chief instructor at Master Choi’s Taekwondo Institute in Lake Charles, Louisiana.



5. Grand Master Kenneth P. MacKenzie

Grand Master Ken MacKenzie's martial arts journey began in 1968 with Kodokan Judo, eventually leading him to Taekwondo and Hapkido. He has won over two hundred local, state, regional, and national martial arts tournaments and is the first American-born to achieve the rank of 10th Degree Black Belt in Korean Hapkido.



6. Master Thomas Gordon

Master Thomas Gordon is the owner and Chief instructor at Gordon Martial Arts. He has trained and taught martial arts all over the world and has been featured in numerous martial arts magazines. His dedication to teaching and community involvement makes him a respected figure in the martial arts community.



7. Grand Master Sergio Chavez-Moreno

Grand Master Sergio Chávez-Moreno began his martial arts journey with Karate in 1969 and later discovered Taekwondo. His connection with Dr. He Young Kimm led him to Taekwondo and Hapkido. He holds a 9th Dan Black Belt from Kukkiwon and is recognized internationally for his contributions to Taekwondo.



8. Grand Master Chi Kwi-joon

Grand Master Chi Kwi-joon is an accomplished judo referee and has officiated at the Olympic Games and three senior world championships. He has been a dedicated member of the United States Judo Federation and has contributed significantly to the development of judo in the United States.



9. Grand Master J.R. West

Grand Master J.R. West is a 9th Dan Black Belt with over 50 years of teaching experience. He is the owner and founder of West's Hapkido Academy. His dedication to Hapkido and martial arts education has earned him the respect and admiration of his students and peers.
