Born on a farm in a small village near Ulsan, South Korea, Grand Master Jung Woo-Jin's journey is a testament to the transformative power of martial arts. Before his arrival in the United States, he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Han-Yang University.
Establishing a Legacy
In 1971, Jung Woo-Jin immigrated to the United States, carrying with him a deep passion for Tae Kwon Do. In 1973, he established Jung's Tae Kwon Do Academy, a pivotal moment that marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to martial arts. Today, Jung's Tae Kwon Do Academy boasts more than forty affiliated branch schools, a testament to his dedication and leadership.
Beyond Martial Arts
Grand Master Jung's impact extends far beyond the world of martial arts. In 1980, he founded New Life Fitness World, a fitness enterprise that now operates seven facilities across Iowa and South Carolina. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to health and well-being have touched countless lives.
A Champion of Tae Kwon Do
In 1981, Grand Master Jung co-founded Tae Kwon Do Times magazine and established Tri-Mount Publication, Inc. His contributions to the martial arts community extended to sharing knowledge, insights, and stories through this influential publication.

2007: North Korean Tae Kwon Do Demo Team performed in five major U.S. cities, marking a historic moment.
2015: Honored as a Taekwon-Do Celebrity by the International Tae Kwon Do Federation for his international contributions.
2017: Organized the first-ever joint demonstration with the ITF and WTF Taekwondo teams.
2019: Sponsored and funded a KBS documentary, "Taekwondo: Journey for Peace," highlighting efforts to bring North and U.S. Taekwondo communities together.
