Master Osio was born in Caracas,  Venezuela on March 15, 1965. His family emigrated to the United States in 1978. The family lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Master Osio graduated from high school in this city and eventually attended Lousiana State University.  Master Osio’s  first experience with Martial Arts happened when he was sixteen years old.  He still remembers his introductory class taught by Grand Master Kimm.

Master Osio complemented his studies at the University with his Martial arts studies.  He received his first degree black belt and his Bachelors in Microbiology at approximately the same time. Master Osio received his black belt during the period of transition from Kuk Sool Won to Hanmudo.  He considers himself very fortunate, because he has seen and experienced the birth and evolution of Hanmudo.  Master Osio received his first degree black belt in 1991.

After graduating from college, Master Osio relocated to the South Florida Area.  He obtained his American Citizenship in 1996. Still balancing studies and Martial Arts, he  received his Masters in Public Administration at approximately the same time he received the rank of Master in Hanmudo. Master Osio now works out at the his own dojo named South Florida Hanmudo, located in Hollywood, Florida.  He believes in the Sunbi principle as explained to him by Doctor Kimm “We must have books in one hand, and our uniforms in the other.”  By following this simple principle, Master Osio is creating a fruitful and fulfilling life.
